PRO-WOMAN PRO-BABY: The Pro-Life Campaign invites people to take part in a NEW postcard appeal to TDs to keep Ireland Pro-life and protect mothers and babies in pregnancy. Please take a Pro-Woman Pro-Baby envelope, sign the enclosed cards and send them in the freepost envelopes. You could help save many lives for years to come.

YEAR OF FAITH – HOLY FAMILY PARISH 40th ANNIVERSARY MASS Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will celebrate Mass in the Parish on Thursday 16th May at 8 pm

YEAR OF FAITH – GLENDALOUGH Our parish pilgrimage to Ireland’s most impressive monastic site, founded by St Kevin in the 6th century takes place on Saturday 25th May. If you would like to join us please leave your name and contact number in the Parish office (01-2845299) as soon as possible.  Details re total cost will not be available until we get an idea of the numbers coming and thus the size/cost of coach hire.  Coach departs resource centre 9.30 am; Arrive 10.30 where we will have tea/coffee followed by viewing DVD in the Visitor Centre, illustrating the history of this ancient monastic site.  Pilgrimage around the site at 11.30 for 1.5 hrs (a shorter route will also be available) followed by lunch at 13.30 in the local hotel.  Bus will depart for home at approx. 3.30.  The pastoral Council urges as many parishioners as possible to support the pilgrimage as a way of marking this Year of Faith.

Do have another look at the photo exhibition celebrating 40 years of parish life as we have added some additional material.  The PPC thanks all the parishioner who submitted the photos etc. and welcomes further contributions to “this down memory lane” which illustrates the ordinary as well as the significant landmarks in our journey as parish to date.

The Christian community of Holy Family Parish extends a Céad Míle Fáilte to:  Mia Lawless, Callum Heiton, Cara Morrissey, Jim Barry, Katelynn Mulligan, Elisha Sessions, Cian McCoy, Zach Bell and Alannah Taylor.  Who received the SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM in our parish during the month of April.  We extend our congratulations and best wishes to parents and children.

VIATORES CHRISTI Members of Viatores Christi will speak at Masses in this parish on 4th /5th May.  Why are they are talking to us ? To raise awareness about the missionary work of the Church and the role of lay missionaries, both at home and overseas ? To thank the  people of the Dublin Archdiocese for our support for this work over the years ? To offer an opportunity and preparation to anyone who feels called to volunteer their time, skills and talents ? To appeal for our ongoing help both financially and above all through our prayers.  There will be a collection after Masses in aid of their work.  

NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP The Philippine community St. Michael’s Dun Laoghaire celebrate the Year of Faith and invite all to join them in a Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help each Wednesday during May and June 2013.   Mass and Devotions will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th, June 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th in St. Michael’s Church.  Join with us, our families and friends here in Ireland and in the Philippines in this Annual Novena held in the Philippines in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Remember this is DOUGHNUT SUNDAY.  Please join us after the 10.30 Mass for a chat and coffee or tea.  All Welcome.

The Irish Cancer Society’s ‘Care to Drive’ free transport service is available for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment in Dublin hospitals. This service is completely free to the patient – a driver will pick you up at the door of your home and bring you to the hospital & then, after treatment, bring you home. So if you are having trouble getting to and from the hospital for your chemotherapy treatment and you are living in Dublin then please speak to your oncology team or call Gail on 01 2310 566
