Methane and me
Organic waste? Me?   Well, if you throw your organic waste into the black bin, it goes into landfill.  When it breaks down it releases methane, which is more than 20 times worse than carbon dioxide as a contributor to climate warming.  So firstly, cut down on your organic waste by better practice in the kitchen and garden.  Then, if at all possible, get and use a compost bin.  This will give you free compost to improve your garden.  If you can’t use a compost bin, get a brown bin.  But whatever you do, don’t make methane!
