The November ALTAR LIST OF THE DEAD
envelopes are now available for use of parishioners and others on the tables near the doors of the church and in the Blessed Sacrament chapel, and may be returned, with the list of the names of those whom you wish to include in the parish Altar List for November 2018 / 2019.
Kindly return the envelope by placing it in the big safe in the Holy Family side of the church during the next few weeks.  Thank you.

Solemn Feast of ALL SAINTS Thurs 1st November.  Holy day of Obligation to attend Mass.  Masses on Wed Halloween @ 7pm; Thurs 10 am & 7pm

Friday 2nd November.  The COMMEMORATION of all the FAITHFUL DEPARTED.  Masses at 10 am & 7 pm.  During November, Catholics are encouraged to pray for God’s mercy on all who have died, especially by praying at Masses and at cemeteries and by various acts of penance and self-sacrifice, particularly following humble confession, a monthly reception of Holy Communion and any prayers for the Pope’s intentions.
It is a holy and a wholesome thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sins (2 Marc 12:46)

The Parish Environmental Group would like to thank all those who came along for the evening last Monday week, not least the parish choir who gave up their weekly practice to attend, a much-appreciated gesture.
We had a good attendance and thought provoking presentations, which combined to underline the urgency and scale of the commitment needed by us as a parish community in responding to the Pope’s call for action and conversion and change of lifestyle.
Two practical steps you might consider:
(1) participating in the monthly litter clean-up on the first Sat of each month, Resource Centre 10.30am, (next one is on Sat 3 Oct) (2) and/or joining the Parish Environmental Group, next meeting Wed 7 Nov 7.30pm in the Resource Centre.
