Invitation to action.  The PARISH ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP is holding an information evening in October.  More details in future bulletins.  Parishioners and others all welcome. Care for the earth is now an integral part of Catholic teaching. If you find this hard to believe, read the Pope’s encyclical on the environment. We have to take sins against the environment as seriously as driving dangerously or stealing.  Even more so, since failing to care for the earth is already taking many lives, and making human life more difficult to sustain.  We are all part of the one interdependent human family.  We must support stronger action by our country to mitigate climate change and eliminate pollution and over-consumption.  Standing idly by is no longer an option for Catholics.
