Homeless Services will be at all masses this weekend 16th / 17th September.
It will replace the normal SHARE Collection

BT Ireland Irish Canter Society
Matt Forde and staff from BT Ireland will sell goods in Irish Cancer Society shops on 19th October. He will collect clothes, bric-a-brac, good quality household items and unwanted presents etc. on Saturday / Sunday 23nd /24th September, bags are available at the door
Last year’s appeal raised €157,000.
Over €5000 was raised from good donations from this parish.

Mass for new academic Year 2017-2018
Mass for opening of the Academic Year:
Archbishop Martin will celebrate Mass for the opening of the Academic Year Monday, 23rd September at 7.30pm in the Church of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, DCU/St. Patrick’s Campus –
“Catholic Education is one of the most important challenges for the Church” Pope Francis.
Refreshments afterwards. All welcome.
Fr Willie Doyle was born in Dalkey on 3rd March 1873. He entered the Jesuit Novitiate at the age of 18 and was ordained in 1907.
From 1908 to 1915 he gave no less than 152 missions and retreats. His fame as preacher, confessor and spiritual director spread far and wide.
He was later appointed a World War 1 chaplain.
He died in action during the Battle TO RAISE THE FALLEN of Passchendaele on 16th august 1917 while rushing to the aid of a wounded soldier trapped in no man’s land.
is a selection of the War letters, Prayer and Spiritual writings of Fr Willie Doyle S.J. has been published by Patrick Kenny, a parishioner.
