The RELICS OF ST. THÉRÈSE and her parents Ss Louis & Zélie Martin will be
in Our Lady of Victories Church, Sallynoggin/Glenageary
on Saturday 16th of September
at 2 pm to 6 pm
All are welcome to come to venerate and to pray in the presence of the relics.

 


The Parish RESOURCE CENTRE will reopen on the 4th September. 
The Parish Office is open, Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm.

 

The collection for the ST VINCENT DE PAUL will take place next weekend 9th /10th Sept. 
Please give as generously as you can

The rotas for the next three months – Sept/Nov are available for collection from the parish office or from the display case near the Sacristy

 The next series of the “300 CLUB” will start shortly.   
The series runs for 10 weeks and there are prizes each week: €100, €50, €30 and € 20
The prizes are larger on the 10th week:€1000, €500, € 250 and €150
At the moment there are numbers available for those who may wish to join. 
Names may be taken in the resource centre, in the sacristy any Monday after the 7 o’clock Mass and in the church after 10.30 am Mass on Sunday.

 


Training nights on parish resources in preparation for WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES (WMOF) The WMOF team has put together a set of pastoral resources for parishes in preparation for WMOF 2018.   These are now available on-line at www.amoris.ie and www.worldmeeting2018.ie. Printed copies will be available from mid-September. The resources include the following:

Fr Willie Doyle was born in Dalkey on 3rd March 1873.  He entered the Jesuit Novitiate at the age of 18 and was ordained in 1907.
From 1908 to 1915 he gave no less than 152 missions and retreats.  His fame as preacher, confessor and spiritual director spread far and wide.
He was later appointed a World War 1 chaplain.
He died in action during the Battle of Passchendaele on 16th august 1917 while rushing to the aid of a wounded soldier trapped in no man’s land.
TO RAISE THE FALLEN is a selection of the War letters, Prayer and Spiritual writings of Fr Willie Doyle S.J. has been published by Patrick Kenny, a parishioner.
It is an inspiring book and is available at the shop.  Congratulations Pat Kenny on the fascinating book.
