Brother Kevin and Homeless Families
Brother Kevin from the Capuchin Day Centre is profoundly grateful for the welcome he received from all the people and families he met last week-end, especially when teas were served after all the masses.
He is extremely grateful for all the donations which amounted to €11,766. Amazing generosity!
Brother Kevin’s inspiring talk and the hospitality and refreshment which we all enjoyed made his visit a memorable occasion for us all.
The Parish RESOURCE CENTRE is closed and will reopen on the 4th September.
The Parish Office will remain open, Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm.
ROTAS FOR MINISTERS OF THE WORD
The rotas for the next three months – Sept/Nov will be available for collection from the parish office or from the display case near the Sacristy from 22nd August

The monthly MASS FOR PEACE organized by the Medjugorje Prayer Group will be held in the chapel at the Divine Master, 1 Newtownpark Ave on Thursday 31st August. Mass at 8 pm followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until 9.15 pm. Everybody welcome.

Fr Willie Doyle was born in Dalkey on 3rd March 1873. He entered the Jesuit Novitiate at the age of 18 and was ordained in 1907.
From 1908 to 1915 he gave no less than 152 missions and retreats. His fame as preacher, confessor and spiritual director spread far and wide.
He was later appointed a World War 1 chaplain.
He died in action during the Battle of Passchendaele on 16th august 1917 while rushing to the aid of a wounded soldier trapped in no man’s land.
TO RAISE THE FALLEN is a selection of the War letters, Prayer and Spiritual writings of Fr Willie Doyle S.J. has been published by Patrick Kenny, a parishioner.
It is an inspiring book and is available at the shop. Congratulations Pat Kenny on the fascinating book.
