COMMEMORATIVE BOOKLET TO CELEBRATE THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR PARISH 
We would like to invite Parishioners to take a walk down memory lane and share their memories of the Parish. 
We are looking for any photographs and memories in writing on the following:  the Beginning/Early Years, Parish Priest/Clergy, Parish Resource Centre, Parish School,
Parish Pilgrimages – (Lourdes, Loreto, Rome, Glendalough)
Parish Groups – (Choir, Hospitality, Cleaning, Active Retirement, Scouts, Altar Servers, Church Stewards etc.)
Parish Finance – (300 Club, House to House, Fund Raising Events),
Baptisms & Marriages, Our Lady’s Shrine Monkstown Farm, Heritage Site in St Fintan’s Park
Significant Events – (Corpus Christi Processions, Family Day, Eurovision Mass, 40th Celebrations Mass, Papal Nuncio Mass etc)
The Present Day 
All photographs & written memories can be given to any of the following and we ask that submissions be made by Sunday 21st September, 2014.  If you have memories and would prefer to talk to someone rather than write them down this can be arranged also.

RESOURCE CENTRE will be closed for the month of August.  The Parish Office will remain open Monday – Friday 10am -1pm.


The collection for the ST VINCENT DE PAUL last weekend amounted to €1,301.  Many thanks to all for your generosity


OUR LADY IN THE FARM
Our Lady’s Shrine on Oliver Plunkett Road, Monkstown Farm was erected in 1954, the Marian year.  There will be a Rosary and short Prayer Service to mark the 60th Anniversary of the erection of the Statue of Our Blessed Lady on Sunday 31st August 2014 @ 4 o’clock.  Come with your family, your children and your friends.

Sunday 14th September, 2014 to Our Lady of Knock Shrine, Knock, Co Mayo;  2.30 pm; Ceremonies start; 3.00 pm; Pilgrimage Mass; Everybody is welcome to this great day of faith.

DLR and the Great War
This well-researched exhibition in the Town Hall is one not to miss, particularly for those whose relatives served in the Great War.  Don’t forget the dates and times:  Monday to Friday 9.0 am to 4.30 pm until 5th September.

 

Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre talk for Heritage Week:
on Wed 27th August, Tim Carey, Heritage Officer, will speak on ‘DLR and the Great War’.  It will include references to people from the county who were involved in the 1914-1918 War.  Start time will be at 7.30 pm.  Admission is free but must be pre-booked as numbers are limited.  Book on 01-285-8366 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. The Dublin Diocesan PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES will travel to Our Lady’s Shrine, as is usual each year, from Sun 7th to Fri 12th Sept, 14

BRAY PARISH: Archbishop Liam Slattery of Pretoria, South Africa, will give a talk on Evangelisation and the Family in St. Fergal’s Church, Killarney Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow, on Wednesday 3rd September at 7.30p.m. All are welcome
